Hello! I hope y’all had a wonderful week. This week was the last full week of the transfer. It’s so crazy that six weeks have gone by! That went by very quickly. SISTER CURRAN AND I ARE STAYING TOGETHER FOR ANOHER TRANSFER! Our hearts are happy and so excited! I AM SO HAPPY! YAY! We have way too much fun together and see so many miracles daily. We both love Kansas so much and the Savior it is a blessing.
Some miracles for the week!
This week we had a wonderful church tour with Jax! He is a 17 year old boy from Tanzania ( Africa ). We have been teaching him for 2 weeks now and he is amazing! He loves the Bible & the Book of Mormon. He knows the Bible like the back of his hand which is awesome. Every time we meet with him we learn so much. So on Thursday night we had church tour scheduled with him and we had our ward mission leader and his wife come with us. Oh my word that was such a blessing. They both clicked with Jax and bore powerful testimonies. Throughout the church tour ( it was an hour n half by the way ) Jax kept asking all these amazing questions! Here are some of the questions he asked: 1. If my brother has not been baptized does God still love him? We smiled and said of course! We all have agency ( the freedom to choose in this life ) 2. How are we to be baptized? Throughout the Bible and the Book of Mormon the Savior says, ” follow thou me ” he was baptized by the priesthood authority ( the power to act in the name of God ) and by immersion. 3. Where will I go after I die? 1 Peter 4:6 it says, ” For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. ” We will go to a Spirit world where all people will hear of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and have the chance to accept it or reject it. This Spirit world is place of learning ! Those questions were so powerful. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be apart of that experience. After the church tour we invited Jax to follow His Savior and be baptized. He is preparing to be baptized on May 27th! He accepted and is excited to partake of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Joe came to church again! YAY! We were so happy to see him there. He is reading the Book of Mormon everyday and is praying to gain a testimony of it. Later today we are having a lesson with him and our Mission President and his wife. We are so excited for that! Also Joe is in the process of praying about being baptized in the month of May! We know as he gains a witness of the Book of Mormon which is the keystone to The Gospel of Jesus Christ the Spirit will enter unto his heart which will lead to him having a desire to making promises with our Heavenly Father.
Also we showed up to church and one of our investigators Nikki Reed was there by complete surprise! That was so fun to see her and sit with her in church. She has been investigating the church for a while. This week we are seeing here and we are going to talk about how our faith builds through reading the Book of Mormon daily. We are so grateful for that miracle that the Lord blessed us with.
I love my Savior, Jesus Christ so much and I know He lives. Kansas is where I have come to know Him. He is the Messiah, our Redeemer, and the Son of the Living God. He is the same today, yesterday, and forever. He is inviting all to come unto Him and partake of His Gospel. I invite you as one of His representative to come unto Him this week by keeping the commandments of God, reading the Book of Mormon and praying daily. He is waiting for all of us to come unto Him. I love Him. I love this Gospel and I know it is true.
I love you all. Have a fantastic week!
