Week 29 | #LIGHTtheWORLD

Hello!

I hope y’all had an amazing week! This week was fun & full of Christmas spirit. We are 20 days away people. Get ready! How exciting. I’m so pumped to spend this Christmas ,season here with the best people in Manhattan, Kansas & as a representative of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

This week we were on bikes and it was SO cold! Saturday all day we were walking or biking and it was so fun. It was raining at the end of the night and we were soaked. It was so awesome. We loved it. Haha people let us in so it was good 🙂 I love riding bikes.

This week we met a really cool guy named Brandon Loving! He was riding his bike and we said, “Hey! There’s a super cool Christmas video. Here we will show it to you.” We all rode our bikes to the side of the road and watched the amazing video and you could see his heart was pricked by the Spirit. We were able to share the Restoration with him and it was so powerful. He is a single dad with two kids and he has truly been prepared by the Lord. He didn’t come to church this week but he will next week! 🙂

I went on splits with Sister Lunt (one of my Sister Training Leaders) this Thursday and it was amazing. We went crazy. We talked to 20 new people, ran after a guy that was on his bike, had 3 lessons in Spanish,  walked around in 30 degree weather, got stranded, and said prayers along the way! It was incredible. I learned so much from her. We were smiling the whole time and people noticed! It was so fun! We came home that night so exhausted but so happy! The Lord was with us that whole time. We focused the exchange on faith and making visions for the area, companions, and for ourselves. I am working on those visions this week 🙂

This week was so much better than last and I know it will continue to get better.

I talked about the #Light the World video last week but I’m just gonna talk about it again because it’s just so awesome. Every single day we have the opportunity to be the light of the world just as Christ was! As we follow in His footsteps we will be a light to people! People in our families, friends, and random people! Christ is the ultimate example of charity, which is the pure love of Christ. I would invite all of you to wake up every morning and ask yourself, “How can I follow Christ’s example and be a light to the world today?” Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” I will do the same thing with you! I hope you all had the opportunity to watch the Christmas Devotional last night! It was SO good. One of the talks focused on God’s gifts to us! Our Heavenly Father gives us SO much! Let’s open the gifts and feel His love more abundantly in our lives. The greatest gift He gave us was His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, the Savior and Redeemer of the world. I know He lives. He loves each and every one of you. Lay your burdens at His feet. He will lift you. I know this to be true.
